Winter is a season of stillness. Rivers slow, coastal waters cool, and human activity appears to pause. Yet beneath the surface, winter is one of the most critical periods for our waterways—and one of the most overlooked.
There is a quiet spirituality found on the water during winter. Whether fishing in local estuaries or guiding divers as a PADI Instructor, this season consistently reminds me of our responsibility as stewards of creation. When the water is calm and the crowds are gone, the connection between land and sea becomes impossible to ignore.
